Abstract: For visitors to buildings and large rooms - airports, shopping centers, etc., obtaining accurate information about their location is relatively challenging, since the traditional GPS mechanism in such cases does not work due to the weakening of the satellite signal inside buildings. This leads to the development of alternative positioning systems, for example, based on Wi-Fi, ZigBee, RFID and similar. A common requirement of these approaches is the need to use additional equipment, such as iBeacons beacons, etc. An alternative location solution that does not require additional equipment is the use of sensors built into modern mobile devices. The article describes the mobile application Sparrow Steps, which allows us to determine the user's location inside buildings and large rooms through a unique method of combining primary information from inertial sensors and environmental sensors
