Abstract: The paper presents a brief theoretical analysis of the interaction of an ultrasonic signal with a heterogeneous medium. Within the framework of identifying the dependence of the amplitude of ultrasonic oscillations on the mass of a heterogeneous material, an experimental setup was proposed, the principle of operation of which is based on the weakening of acoustic oscillations passed through controlled samples. The results of experimнental studies confirmed the dependence of the nature of the absorption of ultrasonic vibrations on the mass of the substance of a heterogeneous medium.
