Abstract: All real systems are non-linear; conventional controllers cannot always give good and accurate results. The fuzzy logic controller is used to get the best response. The model for the simulation is developed and all assumptions are made before the model is developed. An attempt was made to analyze the effectiveness of a fuzzy controller versus a conventional PID controller for an ammonia synthesis tower temperature control system, and the results were compared. The analysis is performed by computer simulation using the CoDeSys V2.3 and Matlab-Simulink toolkit. This research shows that using a fuzzy logic controller gives better results.
