Abstract: The article presents calculations of detonation characteristics of bicyclic derivatives of 3-nitro-1,2,4-triazole and explosive compositions based on them. The thermal properties of bicyclic derivatives and eutectic melt-casts with TNT obtained by thermal analysis are described; the melting temperatures of eutectic materials are determined. The results of the study showed that the detonation velocity of composites based on bicyclic derivatives the detonation velocity is equal to or higher than for similar compositions with trotyl. Compositions containing eutectic melt-casts have agreeable technological and detonation properties. The most promising are Bis[2-(3-nitro-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethyl]ether and 1,2-Bis(2-(3-nitro1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)ethoxy)ethane.
