Abstract: A method of fail-safe non-destructive testing of the stress-strain state of load-carrying elements of hoisting-andtransport machines is presented, which is considered on the example of a prototype of a pantograph-type hoist. The analysis of the basic requirements for the load-bearing elements of hoisting-and-transport machines is carried out. A technique for experimental research has been developed, including strain gauge and thermal methods of non-destructive testing. Shown is a full-scale experiment of a prototype of a pantograph-type elevator.
